Oh my, it's all on the shelves isn't it?   But this podcast contains some ideas to help you manage the supermarket aisles!

By the way, I'm not really a killjoy!  I eat chocolate (always dark) and I drink wine (in moderation) and that's because I eat and drink for health as well as enjoyment.  This is always at the back of my mind.   Even at Christmas, you can switch to eating better quality chocolate (>70% cocoa)  which will give you added nutrition plus you're less likely to eat so much of it.  (Just saying....)
